I'm pretty sure most of the students here have been of or heard about LA river. First of all LA river starts in the Simi Hills and Santa Susana Mountains and flows through Los Angeles County, California, from Canoga Park in the western end of the San Fernando Valley, nearly 48 miles. Do you really think the LA river is a clean river? no right?. As you all know LA river is not really the cleanses river out there. The LA river is polluted with plastic bottles, cans, and other recyclable items. This had been the issue in the LA river for years now and these debris can clogged up pipes and drains along the way, This can be very dangerous because it can create floods due to the clogged drains. Another potential problem that could arise is that the water in the LA river can carry a lot of disease and locals actually fish around LA river for consumption. I have seen this a million times and this is very dangerous because if a person consumes a fish that carries any diseases, it could potentially sicken that person or even worse die from it. Instead of people being satisfied on there hunger they would end up getting sick and potentially die from the fish.
I believe that we could make a change and clean the LA river with the right people. Doing so, my friend, Carlos, and I had started to clean the LA river every time we have free time. The pictures bellow are actual pictures of the La river and all the garbage that has left behind by others. We would like more people to join us and clean the LA river a step at a time.
